WebPolisher Website Terms of Use
Version: website-terms-v4.1
Legal set: webpolisher-legal-set-2026-08-27-v8
Status: Candidate.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when a person or business browses a WebPolisher website, submits a website address, requests a free Website Polishing Report, downloads a report, or uses another public WebPolisher feature.
These Website Terms do not form the paid WebPolisher service contract. A paid service contract is formed only in accordance with the WebPolisher Service Terms and an accepted Checkout Order and Commercial Schedule.
2. Business use only
WebPolisher is intended for business use only. Public reports and paid services are not offered to consumers acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
By submitting a website or requesting a report, you confirm that:
- you are acting for business purposes;
- you are at least 18 years old;
- you have authority to act for the relevant business; and
- the information you provide is accurate.
Browsing the website does not require either party to enter a paid contract.
3. Submitted websites and free reports
When you submit a website address, you confirm that you own, operate or are authorised to submit that website for review.
You authorise PeckUK Limited to:
- access the website's publicly available pages and assets;
- run bounded technical and visual checks;
- capture screenshots and other evidence;
- use approved automated and AI-assisted tools; and
- prepare the requested report, recommendations, examples or private preview.
Do not submit login credentials, private links, special-category personal data, criminal-offence data, confidential material or content that you are not authorised to provide.
4. Nature of a free report
A free report is an informational assessment based on evidence available when the review is performed.
It is not:
- legal, financial, tax or regulatory advice;
- an accessibility certification;
- a penetration test or security audit;
- a guarantee of search ranking, traffic, enquiries, revenue or another commercial result; or
- a promise that every issue affecting a website has been identified.
You remain responsible for deciding whether and how to act on a report.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- attempt unauthorised access to the website, service or another account;
- interfere with the operation, security or availability of the service;
- introduce malware or harmful code;
- submit unlawful, infringing, deceptive or malicious content;
- impersonate another person or business;
- use automated access in a way that causes excessive load or disruption;
- use a report to mislead another person; or
- copy or reverse engineer WebPolisher's underlying service, templates or tooling.
We may block or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, systems, providers or legal rights.
6. Intellectual property
PeckUK Limited or its licensors own the WebPolisher website, software, layouts, reports, scoring methods, branding, reusable templates and tooling.
Content that you lawfully provide remains owned by you or its existing owner.
Subject to these terms, we grant the requesting business a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to download, use and share its free report for its own internal business purposes and with its professional advisers or existing website supplier.
A report may not be resold, falsely attributed, published as another provider's work, or used to reproduce the underlying WebPolisher service or tooling.
AI-assisted material may not be unique. Rights in third-party material remain subject to the relevant third-party rights and licences.
7. Privacy and cookies
Our Privacy Policy explains how PeckUK Limited uses personal data. Our Cookie and Browser Storage Policy explains cookies and similar technologies.
Submitting a report request does not amount to consent to optional analytics or direct marketing. Those choices are handled separately where consent is required.
8. Availability and third parties
The public website and free-report tools are provided using reasonable endeavours. We do not promise an uptime percentage, response time or uninterrupted access.
The service relies on third-party hosting, database, security, email, analytics and AI providers. Availability can be affected by those providers and by events outside our reasonable control.
Third-party links are provided for convenience. They do not amount to endorsement, and third-party sites are governed by their own terms and notices.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
- any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Subject to the paragraph above, PeckUK Limited is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, anticipated savings or data arising from use of the public website or a free report.
Subject to the same qualifications, PeckUK Limited's total aggregate liability arising from the public website and free reports is limited to £100.
These limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law and reflect that the public website and report are provided without charge.
10. Changes
We may update public website content and features. We will version material changes to these Website Terms and show their effective date.
Changes do not retrospectively alter an accepted paid Order Schedule.
11. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to business use of the public website and free reports.
